Laurie Berkner's Music - A Great Hit With Children and Adults Alike

It is not at all surprising that Children's Music Web claims Victor Vito to be the Best Recording for Toddlers. Family Fun Magazine says "Victor Vito is really, truly neato" due to the fact that Laurie Berkner's music is as popular with moms and dads as it is with children!

When listening to the big purple dinosaur sing "I love you, you love me!" it is no longer necessary for adults to put their fingers in their ears or rush to take a painkiller, thanks to Laurie Berkner's talented knack for writing and performing children's tunes. Even though the words of the song may be silly, the music is still appealing to parents who find themselves singing along when listening to the CD's with their children.

Music Hit

Although music played a big part in Laurie Berkner's life, her more recent success as a children's recording artist came as a huge surprise. "It was so unexpected. I'd been performing in rock and struggling to write original music. Writing music for kids has not been a struggle at all. The more I started working on material for children, the more I realized that it opened up creativity in me that I never knew I had." comments Laurie.

Laurie Berkner's Music - A Great Hit With Children and Adults Alike

Following on from her studies at college, Laurie was employed in the role of music counselor at summer camps, and after that for many years as a children's music specialist in and around the New York area, at day care and preschool centers. This experience of working with children became the ideal outlet for Laurie to express her many creative skills, resulting in what she remarks, "has turned out to be incredibly rewarding."

There are a total of three members in Laurie's band, long term friend and pianist Susie Lampert and Laurie's bassist husband, Brian Mueller. As well as her video and CD's, a new DVD is to be released in the near future. Laurie, a mom living in Princeton, New Jersey, performs on the TV show, Noggin on a daily basis. This is the only educational channel devoted to children of preschool age, twelve hours a day and seven days a week, totally uninterrupted by commercials.

If you check out the song titles on the Victor Vito CD, Victor Vito, Bottle Caps, Moon Moon Moon, Froggie Went A-Courtin', I'm Not Perfect, The Toy Museum, O Susannah, BOOTS, Oleanna, The Crabs, Sneaks, The Goldfish, Zodiac, Trucks, Fruit Salad Salsa, The Story of my Feelings, I Feel Crazy so I Jump in the Soup, Shakin' Down the Sugar, Googleheads, Tingolayo, White Coral Bells, Goodnight , the reason this is such a fun collection will be abundantly clear.

Lots of Laurie's songs are simply good to sing along to create a feeling of happiness, whilst a great life lesson is tucked neatly inside Laurie's acoustic guitar, flute, harmonica, horns and maracas. So if you are searching for children's audio which will bring you enjoyment at the same time, Laurie Berkner is an artist you should definitely consider. You can learn more about Laurie on her webiste - just google the name for the site details.

The Music of 1905!

One hundred years ago, in the U.S., competitions in Ragtime were held, at which the awards reached unimaginable sums of twenty-five thousand dollars.

If it is quite certain that most people now listen to dance, pop, rap, techno, house, hip-hop... and folk music, then maybe there are those who asked themselves what was going on concert stages around the world before exactly hundred....and five years ago.

Music Hit

It is clear that the so-called serious or classical music, is backed-up with most data at the beginning of last century, but that doesn't mean that it was and the most popular... Indeed, the pianist Arthur Rubinstein was at the time greeted with ovations wherever he held a concert...however, he was heard only by "selected" audience.

The Music of 1905!

Franz Lehar

However, even among composers of classical music there were those who sought true hits. One of them was Ferenc, known as Franz Lehar (1870-1948), Austrian composer of Hungarian origin. This military conductor was thirty-five years old, when he, in the Austrian capital, in late 1905, for the first time staged his operetta "The Merry Widow" (Die lustige Witwe). The success was great, and it seems that the popularity of "Merry Widow" is not abating even after a hundred years.

Almost at the same time, Lehar's countryman, Gustav Mahler (1860-1911, wrote the Seventh Symphony, and the German composer Richard Strauss (1864-1949) musical drama, "Salome", drawing inspiration from the text of the same name by Oscar Wilde.

Italian composer Ottorino Respighi (1879-1936) was twenty-six years old in 1905. He finished his viola and composition studies, and was concertmaster of the orchestra from Imperial Theatre in St. Petersburg and he also performed in concerts, playing violin. That year he wrote a comic opera "King Enzo" (Re Enzo), very popular at that time, Nocturne for Orchestra and the Suite in G major for string orchestra and organ.

The famous Hungarian composer Bela Bartok was young then. He was only twenty-four years old and just wrote the First and Second suite for orchestra. One year younger then him was Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971). According to his parent's wish, in1905 he finished law school in St. Petersburg, but every day, he visited the composer Rimsky-Korsakov, his personal composition teacher. Hundred and five years ago Stravinsky wrote his first symphony in E minor.

French composer Claude Debussy (1862-1918) published his first book of compositions for piano "Images" (Images pour piano), and Pietro Mascagni - his opera "Amica.".

On the other side of the Atlantic, America was hit with fever of cheerful music for piano - ragtime. Clearly dominating the popular music of America at that time, ragtime was associated with the game, which was named Cakewalk. The father of ragtime was a poor pianist Scott Joplin (1868-1917).

One hundred and five years ago, in the U.S., competitions in Ragtime were held, at which the awards reached unimaginable sum of twenty-five thousand dollars. Schools of Ragtime were opening, and many manuals for ragtime were published.

This music wave eventually came to Europe and the above mentioned composers began to insert ragtime themes in their work...

Review of Greatest Hits Saturday Morning Cartoons'

Looking for soundtracks for animation can be a difficult task. The studios do not release scores for their TV entertainment, and try things out for years are almost impossible. I thank God for the life inspired compilation. These sets of giving us music lovers cartoon taken we need. A similar result is "Saturday Morning Cartoons Greatest Hits."

Published by MCA Records in 1995, "Saturday Morning Cartoons Greatest Hits" offersnineteen (19) theme songs and classic songs to enter the twentieth century, some of the best performances of the artists of the twentieth century.

Music Hit

Listening to the CD while writing this review, it is quite clear that I'm a fan of music entertainment. The CD starts strong and does not stop if you go out. There are scores of music in the way of. The artists sound like they enjoyed performing their songs, which creates the fun. L 'The artists seem to be natural fits for the individual tracks as well. I feel like I could pop in the CD and run the country several times just listen to music and isolation, and that he would never grow old.

Review of Greatest Hits Saturday Morning Cartoons'

Speaking of singing, see the brochure the lyrics to all tracks. Each track is coming with a description of the original cartoons, they, as well as a quote from the artists who made them run. The booklet concludes with an essay by the commentsThe compilation of the producer, Ralph. Write a review inspired by a compilation soundtrack of the works must not only be on the disk itself. Each title is worth mentioning on its own.

The first track on the CD is "Between The La La Song (one banana, two bananas)" from "The Banana Split Adventure Hour". Performed by Liz Phair and Material Issue, "a banana, two bananas" is a fantastic start to the show. I have never seen or heard of this puppet show, but Phair andEdition of the delivery of this song makes me want to find out what I missed.

Play in the towel, the British "Speed Racer", "Go Speed Racer Go" theme captures the spirit of the show. It's quick and relentless. After Vinnie from Sponge "as" Speed Racer "has given me, we gave back in the form of a musical monument, and it shows. The third song is "Sugar Sugar" by Mary Lou Lord Semisonic. This with the title of "The Archie Show" was a hit in music chartsin 1969, and made the Lord and Semisonic, I can see why.

No Cartoon Compilation Soundtrack Compilation Soundtrack would be a cartoon without a Scooby Doo or two songs, "Saturday Morning" is no different. Matthew Sweet "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" is a fun take on this old classic. I wonder if that title was all that was sweet had to be chosen for the title song for the new series of Scooby Doo, "Scooby Doo Mystery Inc." do

The other songs on the album"Josie and the Pussycats" as Juliana Hatfield and Tanya Donelly made, "The Bulldog" by Collective Soul, Butthole Surfers, "Underdog," "Giant" Helm, "Spider-Man" by the Ramones, "Fat Albert" Dig " Popeye "face to face," the goolies Grove "by the Toadies, Sublime" Hong Kong Shame, "" HR Pufnstuf "through the noise, and many others.

The final track, "happy, happy, joy, joy" from Ren and Stimpy ", hosted by Wax was a good choice. The song embodies the emotionsyou get to hear from this CD. It should be noted that some of these songs are not about a cartoon, but from puppet shows. This is only gripe with the disc. Puppet shows are great, but they are not cartoons, and should be based on a compilation of the greatest comic book called "hits" is not.

Having said that, "Saturday Morning Cartoons Greatest Hits" is ideal to collect one for every fan of animation. This is a large number of classic cartoon songs of some of the heme Conductthe best voices of the music. Even if they are not cartoons, it is necessary to take only the music for fifteen years after its original release, the music and composition are. The pleasant and more enjoyable, and I expect to stay sick so far in the future.
