The message seems confusing.

The new songs on the disc is a "What Do You Got?" and "No Excuse". Both are decent tunes, but it sounds like "No Apologies," as it would be better to be home on a record of Meat Loaf here.

Overall, however, fans can not deny the new and old, remainIf a band that has survived the game of metal 80 and over the years has continued to go with a few modifications to its sound. Good music is always a long breath, and "Bon Jovi's Greatest Hits" is good music, no matter the decade . It is worthwhile to look for a good conclusion.

If you're looking for easy songs play on acoustic guitar, it can be hard to know where to start. While the internet is full of guitar tabs, these are often inaccurate, and may be beyond the abilities of new guitarists. A lot of them are also songs that you've probably never heard of, and have no interest in playing.

However, another option is at hand in the form of The Big Acoustic Guitar Chord Songbook series from Wise Publications. Let's take a look at what this book has to offer, and see if it really is a good choice for those looking for easy acoustic guitar songs.

What Is The Big Acoustic Guitar Chord Songbook?

As the name suggests, this book contains a number of songs complete with chords, which can be played on the acoustic guitar. More precisely, it consists of 191 pages and 78 songs. The book has a paperback cover and is in easy to read A4 format.

Is It Any Good?

Overall, I think this is a good book, although it is not without its flaws.

Musical styles - the book contains songs across a wide range of musical genres. It was published in 2001, and the songs range from that time back to 40 years previously, so there's a lot of classic rock and pop in here, as well as more modern songs. The artists covered include The Beatles, Pulp, The Corrs, Bob Dylan, Bryan Adams, Oasis, Blur, Eric Clapton, The Jam and many more.

So if you're looking for classic hits that most people recognise, chances are you'll find a good few of them in here. However, if you're more interested in specialist genres or more extreme musical forms, this is probably not the book for you.

Ease of use - the book is laid out in a very clear and simple way. For each song you get the full lyrics with chord symbols added in the appropriate places. Each song also includes chord box diagrams which show you how to play all the chords that are required for that song, which is useful if any of the chords are unfamiliar.

However, the book does not contain tabs or written notation, and if you don't know the melodies of the original songs, this will be an issue, as they're not included here. And while there's a playing guide which gives some useful hints, it's not as if every little step is spelled out for you, which may or may not be a problem.

Accuracy - according to the blurb on the back cover, each song has been arranged in the original key from the original recordings. However, like most books of this type, some of the chords have been simplified, as you'll discover for yourself if you listen very carefully to the original songs and compare them to the chords that are given in this book. This isn't a problem, as they still sound 'right', but if you want to play a note-perfect rendition of the original, you'll probably need to rely more on your own ears.

Playing level - some of the songs in this book contain very easy chords, whereas others are more difficult. Beginners will find the book of value, but those who have a bit more experience will probably get the most from it, as many of the songs will be too difficult for complete beginners to play initially. Also, the lack of step-by-step playing guides may be a problem for those who are just starting off.

Verdict

If you're a guitarist who is interested in playing a wide range of well-known hit songs on your acoustic guitar, this is a great book to have. Just be aware that it is something of a barebones guide - as the title says it's a chord book, so don't expect to find tabs or notation in here.

Thank God for the existence of inspired compilations. These compilations give us cartoon music fans the outlet we need. One such outlet is "Saturday Morning: Cartoons Greatest Hits".

Released by MCA Records in 1995, "Saturday Morning: Cartoons Greatest Hits" offers nineteen (19) tracks for classic theme and insert songs from the Twentieth Century, performed by some of the Twentieth Century's best performing artists.

Listening to the CD while writing this review, it is quite clear why I am an animation music fan. The CD starts off strong and does not stop once it gets going. There are no sound bite tracks to get in the way of the music. The artists sound like they were enjoying performing their songs, which adds to the fun. The artists seem to be natural fits for their individual tracks as well. I feel like I could pop the CD in and drive around the country several time just listening to and singling along with the music and it would never get old.

Each track is listed with a description of the original cartoons they come from, as well as a quote from the artists that performed them. The booklet ends with a commentary essay from the compilation's producer, Ralph Shall. Writing a review of a soundtrack compilation of inspired works shouldn't just be about the disc itself. Each individual track deserves to be mentioned on its own.

With that said, "Saturday Morning: Cartoons Greatest Hits" is a great pick up for any animation fan. It is a great set of classic cartoon heme songs performed by some of the best voices in music. Even if you are no longer into cartoons, you should pick it up just for the music. Fifteen years after its original release, the music and the compilation are still enjoyable and fun, and I expect it ill remain that way well into the future.

Michael Jackson's Thriller - Album Review

People often talk about how the amount of copies Michael Jackson's 1982 album Thriller has sold. People often bring up that it's the biggest selling album of all time. They bring up all of the awards it's won.

All of that stuff is great for the trivia nerd in all of us (and I've certainly got one in me) but what really makes Thriller remarkable is the music itself. While most pop music from 1982 sounds positively dated today, I believe most of the tracks from Thriller still sound just as fresh in 2009 as they did 27 years earlier.

The album opener "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" is the most over the top song on the album and it says something that he opens the album with this one. There's so much packed into this song, it's bursting at the seams. These days most hit songs have about 1/3 of the imagination that this song has packed into it (and that's being generous.)

The three most known songs on the album are "Thriller," "Billie Jean," & "Beat It." In fact these are arguably the three most well known songs of Michael Jackson's entire career. Amazingly they come one right after the other on the album. How many albums have three songs that memorable one after the other?

It seems the music video for "Thriller" is talked about all the time. But what about the song itself? The video wouldn't have been so great if there wasn't an awesome soundtrack for it.

"Billie Jean" is so great that it really doesn't even need me to say anything about it here. It's the ultimate dance pop song. It demands you to the dance floor but it also has an irresistible melody and interesting lyrics that beg you to sing along.

"Beat It" featured rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen. When you think about it, that's quite an interesting move to make for an R&B pop artist like Michael Jackson. People forget what an original idea it was for him to do such a rocking tune at that time. His groundbreaking ideas were so influential that it's difficult to see them in their original context now.

Those three songs are fantastic but it's some of the others that really tickle me these days. "PYT (Pretty Young Thing)," "Human Nature," & "Baby Be Mine" are all wonderful songs that were not huge hits so they sometimes get overlooked by casual fans. These are great songs. Forget the "Greatest Hits" albums because they don't include great songs like these. You need to get Thriller.

Even the album's lesser songs have their moments and their charms. "The Girl is Mine" is a silly duet with Beatles legend Paul McCartney but it's actually quite enjoyable once you accept it for what it is. "The Lady in my Life" takes awhile to get going but once the groove sets in, it's a cool song.

One thing that I definitely feel is too often overlooked with Michael Jackson is his songwriting ability and Thriller was really the first proof that he was a great songwriter (although he did write one song, the #1 hit "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough" for Off the Wall.)

Michael Jackson has the sole songwriting credit on four of the nine songs on this remarkable album: "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," "Billie Jean," "Beat It," & "The Girl is Mine." Writing four songs for Thriller was just the beginning, because from 1987's Bad through 2001's Invincible Jackson would write about 90% of his album's original songs (I'm not counting his covers of "Smile" & "Come Together" in my quick & dirty estimate.)

A greatest hits album is either a way for the fans to re-appreciate an artist s best songs or a possibility for the neophyte to discover an artist whose work he hardly heard about.

Despite his immense talent, Nas doesn t always make unanimity among hip hop s mainstream listeners. Nas lyrical genius is often ignored while some cheap, commercial rappers are often privileged.

May this CD convince all the people who are still skeptical about Nas.

Surviving The Times is taken out of Nas' upcoming album. The jazzy-soul musical background made of piano, keyboard, drums and trumpet sounds opens the door to ancient memories: flashback to the ancient times during which the young emcee was struggling to get a record deal. Meet Nas and his fellows in the NYC hood. Nas vocal amplitude needs to be underlined: from soft, warm to raw, from slow to powerful, it sets a light on trying times, sharing the emotional dimension with the listeners.

This song definitely belongs to your hip hop library.

Less Than An Hour is based on a dark bass and drum background. Welcome to another brilliant demonstration of indestructible flow during which the emcee blesses the mic. Like a thunderstorm, Nas will break out, stabbing vowels in a merciless manner, leaving free inspiration to his creativity.

It Ain't Hard To Tell is another Nas classic you could barely miss out. Each single words appears as the skilled emcee's personal creation. With a witty technique of his own, Nas will allow you to assist to a verbal typhoon.

Bridging The Gap is probably one of the most beautiful raps songs ever. Not only does it feature Nas' father, virtuosi trumpet player, Olu Dara, it also writes black folks musical history in its whole emotional dimension.

Bridging black musical genres, that s exactly what an attentive black music loving ear should do. Jazz, gospel, blues, soul and rap music all have common elements. They include black folks pain, sweat and musical creativity. The blues musical background of the song will allow the listeners to travel with Olu Dara whose intervention is enhanced with his son's hip hop loving soul. I love the spirit, the great sense of rhythm, and the black conscience of the song. Don't sleep on that one in any case!

Hate Me Now is enveloped with a dramatic musical background. The song features P Diddy. Haters can hate as much as they want, they won't stop a talented person from reaching the top. The atmosphere is scurrilous, embodied by Escobar's spirit.
The Nas-P Diddy duo is wittily worked on, lyrically and instrumentally as well.

Who doesn't know Made You Look? Discover or re-discover the artist's classic that is fulfilled with rhythmic drumbeats, explosive rhymes and an energizing spirit.

I Can is a song with an educative dimension. Built on Beethoven's letter to Heloise, the song will progressively guide the listener's conscience into the ghettos youths problems and aspirations. Addressing to young folks, Nas advices them to stay away from drugs and to work hard towards their dreams. You will go anywhere you want to as long as you work hard at it.

Nas is a giant in the rap game. His Greatest Hits CD summarizes years of hard work and undisputed talent: cop it with no hesitation.

George Benson Greatest Hits Of All Smooth Jazz Music CD Review

The incomparable guitarist George Benson has released The Greatest Hits Of All CD and basically it is exactly that.

I've got one word to describe this one, Wow!

This is one of the greatest greatest hits CD's I've had the pleasure of reviewing.

Benson has been in the music game for so long I have to admit I had forgotten about some of these outstanding tunes. It's really a testament to the fact that he has been a true hit maker for over 30 years now. Virtually defining the quiet storm format back in his younger days, and he continues to roll along even today.

A lot of these songs I remember hearing on the radio back in the days when I didn't really know who was singing or playing them. Not knowing it was George Benson!

With the release of The Greatest Hits Of All, Benson's artistic excellence is on full display as he mixes his at once smooth and funky guitar playing style throughout the collection.

The CD is packed with 19, I say again nineteen!, of Benson's chart topping hits from his very long and amazingly outstanding career.

It begins with one of Benson's best songs of all, This Masquerade and just rolls right through 18 more of what a lot of people will agree are some of the greatest songs we as music fans have heard over the last 30 years.

Benson, with his signature smooth guitar playing, showing why he his now considered one of the greatest artists of our time.

Contributors on the project includes an amazing line up of musicians with whom Benson has collaborated over the years. Industry heavy hitters like Michael Boddicker, Earl Klugh, Phil Upchurch, Marcus Miller, Lee Ritenour and Narada Michael Walden just to name a few, and the list actually goes on and on and on.

Benson's The Greatest Hits Of All is simply an outstanding collection. If you love music this is not a CD you SHOULD get. It's one you NEED.

Music Review of a Hundred Million Suns by Snow Patrol

"Snow Patrol" are a five-piece Irish/Scottish indie/alternative rock band from Dundee. Snow Patrol were formed way back in 1994 and currently the band consists of Gary Lightbody (Vocals and Guitar), Nathan Connolly (Guitar and Backing Vocals), Paul Wilson (Bass), Jonny Quinn (Drums) and Tom Simpson (Keyboards). Snow Patrol were originally known as in indie rock band but have moved to a more alternative rock and power pop sound.

A Hundred Million Suns opens with "If There's A Rocket Tie Me To It". It starts off in the distance with the help of synthesizers and gradually sounds louder and gets into the track when the correct momentum hits on. When the guitar comes on, it sounds really good before Gary comes on with his trademark husky yet soft vocals. As Gary sings, the background music carries on and hit a high when Gary goes, "A fire a fire, you can only take what you can carry... A pulse your pulse, it's the only thing I can remember..." Snow Patrol also gear up the tempo in this part. The remaining 1 minute, If There's A Rocket Tie Me To It just gets louder and Snow Patrol add some background howls as Gary sings to the end... Great appetizer here...

"Crack The Shutters" begins with delicate piano-playing. Gary's voice just works so fine with the piano in the verse. In the chorus,the drums just pound on and Gary goes, "Crack the shutters open wide, i want to bathe you in the light of day... And just watch you as the rays, tangle around your face and body..." The guitar also joins in here and the whole track opens to a new tempo and it sounds more lively. It's not a fast track overall, but it will work on anybody, including you. Believe me.

Once "Take Back The City" starts, the guitar just makes me think that this track could be big. I was instantly connected to Take Back The City. The guitar of Snow Patrol just knows how to blend in so well into this track. With the style they're playing, Take Back The City should have sounded loud and fierce. But Snow Patrol know what we like about them, and they did it again with this track. They never fail to rock and at the same time, remain as soft and lovely as ever. In the chorus where Gary goes, "It's a mess, it's a start, it's a flawed work of art, your city, your call...", you would be treated with a repetition of rocking guitar riffs that complement its way to Gary's vocals. Snow Patrol are having a rocking good time with this track, i can definitely feel it.

"Lifeboats" has some steady guitars going on in the beginning. As the guitar is playing, Gary just comes in and starts singing with his lovely husky voice. No doubt, i like the rhythm of Lifeboats here. Very good stuff! The music just joined by a bass when it comes to certain point that we find Gary goes, "Flashed up in my wildest dreams, like red blood streams, stretch up like vast skies... The veins of you, the veins of me, like gold forest trees... Pushing through and on and in..." Shortly after that, i like the violin-like sound that comes on and off as Gary sings on. If just feels so great listening to it. Lifeboats is one of the tracks that will impress after a few listens. It's slow and catchy in a way that might give you a wake up call and get you to hit the replay button when the song is nearing the end. And what an ending as well!

"The Golden Floor" has some hand claps going on in the beginning as the guitar plays on in the background. Gary just enters with his vocals not long after The Golden Floor has started. Throughout this track, the hand claps give an impression that they're replacing the drums even though the drums are being played on this track, but can hardly be heard as the hand claps overwhelmed it by miles. Snow Patrol are very consistent in The Golden Floor, some may find it dull, and some might like it. Still you just have to try The Golden Floor in order to find out.

"Please Just Take These Photos from My Hands" brings the tempo back again. The non-stop guitar strumming seem to be the core element that keeps this song going on as Gary just sings his usual stuffs. In the chorus, the guitar takes on a different riff with high tweak as Gary let it out with, "When all this actual life played out? Where the hell on Earth was I? I rack my brains but it won't come..." It seems that Snow Patrol already got their trademark guitar sound as i always catch them playing in the same guitar style in almost every fast track. As the song is ending, Gary just sings in repetition, "Please just take these photos from my hands..." One of those tracks that reminds me of "Spitting Games" from the album Final Straw.

"Set Down Your Glass" is a track that brings Snow Patrol from a fast tempo track to a slower tempo track. There are not many instruments being used in Set Down Your Glass, the most obvious sounds are the guitar's and the vocals of Gary Lightbody. He just possesses the voice of a beautiful ballad and love song singer. I bet Gary would also do incredibly fine if this song were an acapella version. Set Down Your Glass just shows his vocals strength here. Pretty lovely!

"The Planets Bend Between Us" to me is a beautiful love song ballad. And the lyrics itself contain the album title, "A hundred million suns..." Gary makes an impact with his voice here in the vocals, "I will race you to the waterside, and from the edge of Ireland shout out loud, so they could hear it in America, it's all for you..." The part where Gary sings, "It's all for you..." is the best part of all. I just love the way Gary extend his vocals on the word, "You..." Beautiful and love ballad over here, shows Snow Patrol are capable of writing such meaningful and thought-provoking song that manages to capture every person's heart. This song will melt you, pamper you and the best of all, touch you.

"Engines" has some howls going on in the beginning before joined by high-pitching guitar riff. After each phrase of singing by Gary, the high pitch guitar riff can be heard in a way that's almost similar to a dessert after a sumptuous main course. In the chorus, a second guitar can be heard and it possesses fairy tale-like element as it plays on in the chorus along side with Gary's vocals. One more thing that's worth mentioning is the cleverly written lyrics, "You say you love me like the silence of the turning earth, you say you love me like the endless roar of modern of life, you say you love me like the laughter and the kissed back tears, you say you love me like the past the now the coming years..." No other word can describe this lyrics except beautiful, unless you can find a better word.

"Disaster Button" has a fast-paced little guitar in the opening. It sounds like it's getting up the stairs in small steps. Gary just sings as if he were speaking. When it reaches the right momentum, the whole track seems to be taking off in a loud and fast mode and still, Gary just sings on without using much strength, "Throw forward to later, you look light on your feet, when you whirled in the room, i was nailed to my seat..." The guitars of Snow Patrol seems to be enjoying their part by playing it loud most of the time on Disaster Button. Instead of Disaster Button, this song should be called "Explosion Button" due to its loudness and energy in this track.

"The Lightning Strike" ends A Hundred Million Suns with a track that contains three different tracks and it's over 16 minutes long all together. First track is called "What If This Storm Ends?". It starts with some steady piano playing for a while before Gary enters with this vocals. As he sings, the music seems to get enriched with instruments like horn and trombone. It doesn't really have a chorus, just a line of words where Gary sings through. Not a bad first track of a three-track song. Entering the second track, it's called "Sunlight Through the Flags". As it continues from "What If This Storm Ends?", it has a faster-paced piano in the beginning. The deal here is when it comes to a point where the guitar just comes in with a slow looping guitar riff in the background as Gary goes, "Worry not everything is sound, this is the safest place you've found, the only noise beating out is ours, lacing our tea from honey jars..." In the end, this track just ends with the piano it first played in the beginning. Come to the third track of "The Lightning Strike", "Daybreak" leverages on synthesizers for its opening. As Gary enters the verse here, each phrase of the verse is sung with an extending and pulling vocals.

The music suddenly takes a different turn with the bass coming in with a more obvious sound after the first verse. As it gets further into this track, Snow Patrol just focus more on the music and the most obvious sound is the guitar where again it can be heard playing in a way that Snow Patrol are always known for. A very ambitious ending by Snow Patrol!

The Offspring Greatest Hits Album Review

Unlike many other Greatest Hits album's The Offspring chose to put nearly all their radio hits on this single album. Whereas other bands sometimes like to just put their favorite compilation of songs, The Offspring's Greatest Hits album really leans more towards what the fans wanted making this a CD that is truly all about the fans.

The album was released in July 2005 and published by Columbia records the same as some of their other albums. The album has been certified Gold by the RIAA so listeners can be sure that this was a reasonably popular CD comparatively speaking against other The Offspring albums.

For listeners who are purchasing this album simply to hear their new previously unreleased songs "Can't Repeat" and "Next to You", they may be slightly disappointed. The songs are relatively simplistic with "Next to You" being a cover of a song by The Police. Although the new material is not anything special, the songs included on this are pretty much everything you could want from The Offspring prior to 2005 if you are a casual fan of this band.

Expect their most popular and played songs on the radio such as "Gone Away," "Come Out and Play," and "The Kids Aren't Alright" to be on this CD in high quality so you will get a great listening experience.

This album is highly recommended for those who like punk bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots. Their sound is a bit more Popish than Nirvana and more along the lines of certain Stone Temple Pilots songs. Because this album is comprised mostly of radio hits, it also contains much of The Offspring's pop song writing side and thus is a very good comparison to Thank You by Stone Temple Pilots. So if you liked this album, it is recommended that you pick up this one and vise versa.

If you do not already own The Offspring albums, then their Greatest Hits compilation is a fantastic way to start. It contains all the songs that the radio was playing during the mid 1990s and the early 2000s from this classic punk band.

This long awaited and much anticipated Greatest Hits collection includes three new songs along with the predictable chart topping hits she's had. Most of the songs are up tempo groovable tunes which is exactly what Shania Twain fans will enjoy and appreciate.

A brief review of Discovery Daft Punk

Daft Punk is an electronic music band composed of talented musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter French. In 2001, the popularity of their latest album Homework end of 1990, Daft Punk Discovery published in defining the home of electronic music with hits like "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger", Kanye West release, the first example to decide its own interpretation of the song (for those who doI think that is a true genius of the RAP). To analyze the brilliance behind Discovery had, I decided two tracks, discuss Including "aerodynamic" and "Focus Super Heroes" and how each song was composed in their own unique way and the way the early binding in electronic music.

When my high school friend first introduced me to Daft Punk, the first song played for me, with his car "aerodynamic" in a Friday night. "Aerodynamics"is a type of temperament that makes everyone want to dance away in a night club with its high-speed electronics and the foundation. In particular, the second part of the song was always with me, because it is a very distorted guitar riff that will be built by early synthesizers with extra beats repeated characteristics of both instruments. Surely, this song composers 20th can be traced back to the roots of electronic music in the early years by artists such as GermanKarlheinz Stockhausen, "music composed by the concept of" Electronic Muzik in early 1950. Through this approach, the music was only created electronically, aerodynamics, rather than sampling "which seems to be something special."

"Off Super Heroes" I think, is one of the songs more details of Discovery for its ease of use of repeated short vocal sample with extra beats. For a long time, I simply had no idea what the voiceThe song was from the sample. Daft Punk's Discovery was one of the first electronic album I've ever heard and it became an album, the music has changed, I seem to hear and interpret. Be composed by electronic means "aerodynamic" and, together with a single vocal line from an old disco song from 1970's "Super Heroes", the contribution to electronic music of Daft Punk> Music has certainly surprising and hopefully will continue to bring new material to the fantasy world and his fans around.

Stadium Arcadium is the long awaited new release version of Red Hot Chili Peppers. Like its predecessor, Blood Sugar Sex Magic, Stadium Arcadium intended to hit a smash.

RHCP fans are definitely in this double CD, 28 songs joy of release. Probably the best double album of the year will be.

Disc 1 opens with Dani California, the first single from the collection and to be honest just rolls in more than 100 hours of Red Hot Chili PeppersUtopia.

By the slow pace of the track 2, Snow (Hey Oh) to bangin C'mon Girl, 12 This CD packed with well-written piece, played with passion and professionalism produced tracks.

By the way, two CDs, although very similar in style are dubbed Mars and Jupiter.

Overall, the collection, Stadium Arcadium is a pleasure to hear. I give it two thumbs up. There is a CD If you love music, much like a.
