Gregg Allman Undergoes Successful Liver Transplant In Florida

It is being reported that Rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Famer Gregg Allman has underwent a successful liver transplant in Florida.
The procedure was carried out yesterday at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, after the rocker was put on the liver transplant list back in 2007 after he began undergoing treatments for hepatitis C.
Allman got the phone call he had been waiting for yesterday morning, and drove to the hospital to undergo the procedure which went off without a hitch but he will remain in hospital for up to a week.
“He’s psyched to put this time of his life behind him and have a chance again to feel really healthy and good, and hopefully live for many more years to
come,” said his manager Michael Lehman.
“I changed my ways years ago, but we can’t turn back time,” Allman said in a news release. “Every day is a gift, and I can’t wait to get back on the road making music with my friends.”
