2007 was a record year for the contemporary Christian music. It only takes a glance at the list of 100 greatest songs of the year, to verify that belief. Casting Crowns took the lead with her hit song "East to West." Their first offering from 'The Altar and the Door "album was huge on Christian Adult Contemporary, inspirational and contemporary hits radio charts. TobyMac's" Portable Sounds "album produced two top ten songs this year," Made To Love "second place and "I'm For You" at number nine. The melody is contagious, "Something Beautiful" by Newsboys check-in at number three for the year. Newcomer, Rush Of Fools, scored the fourth song of the greatness of 'years with "Undone". MercyMe put their scheme of relief with the number five song "Bring The Rain". Jeremy Camp put more songs in the top 100 for the exercise of any other artist. "Give You Glory", at number six, was the biggest success of his last five years. BigDaddy Weave's smash-hit "Every Time I Breathe," ended the year in the number seven spot. Chris Tomlin also did well in the charts last year with three songs in the Top Twenty this year. "How can I keep from singing" was the largest number of eight. Brandon Heath completed the top ten with the incredibly catchy "I'm Not who I was."
The David Crowder Band, Aaron Shust, Lincoln Brewster, Third Day and all the pieces on this year's Top Twenty. Perhaps the most strikingThe void is the absence of year-end top twenty artists. Mandisa "Only The World" was the song of the highest-ranking female artist. It 'was at number 21 for the year.

Smith, Natalie Grant, Phillips, Craig & Dean Point Of Grace, Rush Of Fools, Third Day and TobyMac all had two shows each.
There were some big names this year, missing the Top 100, including Chris Rice, Avalon, Nicole C. Mullin, Amy Grant, Twila Paris, POD, Sela and Todd Agnew.
