Putting Michael Buble and music together in a sentence already sounds like a good tune. So, why would you, like all his many fans, gain interest in this man, born from a salmon fisherman and his wife, in Canada? The answer is simple. Buble creates beautiful music accompanied with a sweet sounding voice - and he even composes some of his own songs or co-writes it.
When he was just 13 years old, his family immediately found out that Michael Buble and music hit it off right. At 16, he had already started to appear in various singing engagements with the support of his Italian plumber grandfather, who did plumbing services so that he could exchange it for time at the stage for Michael. His grandfather was even the one who paid for Michael's singing lessons.
Michael Buble and music still continue to hit off right - at the age of 18, he was able to win a singing contest but was eventually disqualified because of being underage. He also joined the Canadian Youth Talent Search, won and had various gigs for seven years. However, his hard work never paid off.
How did Michael Buble and music come together to create award-winning music?
He had sung in a business party where Michael McSweeney got a copy of the album that Buble financed himself. McSweeney showed the album to Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and was, thus, invited to sing at the wedding of the latter's daughter. It was during this event that the presence of David Foster, an award-winning producer, was noted. Although Foster was hesitant about producing an album for Buble, he was eventually convinced by the singer and his agent.
In 2003, Michael Buble and music made another good pair when the new artist was able to release his first self-titled album. The Michael Buble album immediately topped the charts not only in Canada and the United States but also in South Africa. It even reached number one in Australia. From then on, Michael Buble was able to create other albums such as "It's Time", "Call me Irresponsible" and "Crazy Love", the most recent one was released in 2009. Aside from these four studio albums, Michael Buble also released three live albums, five with extended plays and four other albums called "First Dance", "Babalu", "Dream" and "Totally Buble".
For his musical genius, he has been recognized by many award-giving bodies. His first achievement was a Genie Award for Best Achievement in Music - Original Song for "I've Never Been in Love Before". He had been nominated in the Grammys for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010 - and won twice.
Michael Buble and music do not only make a good pair, the highly talented artist has also appeared in films like "The Snow Walker" and the popular TV series "Las Vegas". In 2010, Buble is also set to go on his "Crazy Love" tour and these will include various cities in North America and Europe from March until October of the said year.
